Sabrina N'Diaye, Owner, LCSW-C
Sabrina began her career as a helping professional over 20 years ago. Since that time, she has been blessed with the opportunity to assist hundreds of clients transform their lives and live their dreams. In 2007, she founded the Heart Nest Wellness Center , where she specializes in her “calling”– healing work for trauma survivors, couples, and recovering addicts. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine, where she is studying the effects of alternative healing methods on our emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
Sabrina is a highy-respected member of the treatment community, and often invited to speak on a womens issues, relationships, spirituality and psychotherapy, self-care, and relationships. She is on the faculty of the Institute for the Advanced Psychotherapy Education and Training, and was an adjunct instructor at Howard Community College. She is a wife, mother, and life-long learner, who remains humbled by the healing power of compassion, forgiveness, and love.
Nazaahah A. Amin, Yoga Instructor
Nazaahah is a Baltimore native and a mother to a fiery-spirited little guy. She has been a teacher in a private Islamic school in Baltimore City. She is a visual artist and in 2007 she began her own graphic design business, Ama Designs. Her class style is beginner/intermediate Hatha with bits of a challenge sprinkled throughout.
Nazaahah is currently pursuing her 200 hour teaching certificate in the Yoga Teacher Training Program at Lifeline Power Yoga. She offers a women-only yoga class, Sistas Yoga Sundays, on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am. As she mentions in most of her classes and uses as her life mantra “…..And Breathe.”
Lisa Moore, RYT, LCP
Lisa Moore is an independent contractor, group leader, and workshop facilitator for various recovery centers. She is currently an addictions counselor and yoga therapist at the Kolmac Clinic in Towson. Her 10 years of experience with groups and individuals in both inpatient and outpatient facilities has lead her to place high value on humility, genuineness and humor in the role of a therapist. She is grateful for the enrichment this profession has given her and the insight she has gained to help her own teenage and young adult children in dealing with life on life’s terms. She pursued yoga teacher training through Yama Studio is Baltimore, Maryland and became a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance in 2010.
Mika Lawrence
Mika Lawrence is a licensed acupuncturist and a Certified Acupuncture Detox Specialist . She has a Masters degree in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia in Laurel, MD and is currently working on a Post Masters Certificate in Women’s Holistic Health. Her goal as an acupuncturist is to help others achieve physical and emotional balance.
Mika also holds a Bachelors degree in Archaeology from Appalachian State University and for several years she traveled the eastern seaboard working on various archaeology projects. Between digs, she received acupuncture for physical and emotional support. She was amazed at the way acupuncture made her feel, “calm yet energetic”. A few years later, she had the opportunity to experience the benefits of acupuncture throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Now, as a firm believer in what acupuncture can do for the body, mind, and spirit, her main areas of expertise include treating anxiety and depression, as well as women’s health concerns such as infertility, pregnancy and postpartum concerns. Stephanie Shelburne is a Body-Focused Psychologist and Reiki Master Teacher, specializing in Mind/Body Medicine. She is passionate about helping people 'come back to their senses' as a way of healing from trauma. For as long as she can remember, Courtney Parham has been fascinated by the power of human touch. She is a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage, where she studied the connection between touch, intention, and physiological change. She is both nationally certified and my state licensed to purse her passion. She embraces honesty, awareness and compassion to help restore, relax and rejuvenate every client that experiences her healing touch.
Ifraj Rahim
Ifraj Rahim, (aka Jameelah) is a belly dancer, perfomer, and bellydance instructor, fell in love with the sensual art of bellydance while attending an Egyptian dance party. She has studied the art for almost a decade, and began teaching five years ago. She describes her life as a bellydancer as “an never-ending learning journey…It makes me feel beautiful, confident, sexy, and loved”. One of her greatest pleasure is in witnessing her students experience the same.
